BACKGROUND

Elite Dynamics is a specialist software solution provider for the caravan and holiday home industry. Their software product, EliteParks, is built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and designed to help caravan and holiday parks manage their processes more efficiently. It is used by parks across the UK and Canada.

The Brief

Elite Dynamics required a new website that would help them to disrupt a market that was saturated with holiday parks using archaic technology and outdated systems.

Before we began to look at the layout and design of the website, our graphics design team explored the elements of Elite Dynamics' brand identity that could be updated to create a dynamic, contemporary look and feel.

We expanded their colour palette to include new tones of blue and also added shades of green. This gave the website design team a wider choice of colours to work with.

We also created a polygonal pattern that could be used as a background for any digital elements as well as in other marketing material.

Icons & Photography

A visual language was also created for the website.

A new series of icons were created to highlight the features and benefits of EliteParks.

A new photography style was suggested for the banners on the website that focused on the natural surroundings of the holiday parks nad resorts that Elite Dynamics often worked with.

 

By recognising the requirements of Elite Dynamics' customers, the website design could both encourage interaction and reduce bounce rates.

Built using our own content management software, thinkCMS, Elite Dynamics have access to manage and update the website themselves, allowing them to add any new content or imagery. Our technical support team are also on hand to provide any help they might need.

The Website

Now it was time to agree the layout and format of the website, taking into account how visitors will navigate the site. As always, this started with a series of wireframes, showing where images, content, buttons and other elements will sit on each page.

Our user experience specialists looked at how visitors could navigate the site swiftly and easily, allowing them to find the information they needed as quickly as possible.

Interactions

An important part of developing the website involved creating eye-catching animated interactions on specific pages.

Each banner zoomed in and faded out as users scrolled down pages, with selected content fading gradually into the page.

On the Partners and About pages, blocks of content roll in from either side of the page.

And, rather than a conventional Team page with stacked blocks of employees, Elite Dynamics' staff are shown in an interactive carousel. New photography was arranged based on the new design so that they could be cut out and added into the carousel.
