BACKGROUND

Dyfed Menswear is an award-winning, family-owned menswear company established in 1985 that specialises in wedding and formalwear hire and tailoring.

The Brief

Dyfed Menswear wanted to refresh their logo and brand identity and update the design of their website to better reflect their position in the modern menswear sector. They needed a website design that offered visitors an improved customer experience and allowed their staff to manage and edit it more efficiently.

A TAILOR-MADE IDENTITY

It was important that Dyfed Menswear’s updated logo and brand identity retained and recognised the long history of the business.

The updated logo features a slightly altered font but the flowing, handwritten style remains.

The company’s colour palette has also expanded, moving from black and gold to subtler shades of grey and bronze.

The new brand identity introduces Dyfed Menswear’s stamp of approval which commemorates the year when the company was established and also references the tools of their trade, with one half of the circle representing the markings of a measuring tape.

The sweeping body of the ‘f’ in Dyfed has been used to create a brand pattern that can be used in marketing material, including suit linings, signage, brochures and the new website.

A WELL-DRESSED WEBSITE

The new-look Dyfed Menswear website not only needed to look great but it also had to offer visitors an improved user experience when it came to choosing the suit and accessories that were right for them.

Using the updated colour palette and brand elements from the redesign, the Dyfed Menswear website features animated micro-interactions based on the sweeping Dyfed ‘f’ shape.

As well as looking great on any device, thanks to its responsive website design, the improved navigation on the new site allows visitors to browse the company’s wide range of suits, kilts, waistcoats, shoes and accessories.

Once you’ve clicked into a particular item, you can choose to:

  • Reserve it and pay a deposit
  • Add it to a wishlist where you can see all of your favourites together
  • Arrange to come to a Dyfed Menswear store for a consultation
  • Share your choice on social media

Customers can also locate their nearest store, get the latest news and menswear trends from the blog and find inspiration in the wedding gallery.
