User-friendly web portal for SPC International

SPC International specialise in the repair, refurbishment and remarketing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Having been a long-standing customer of ours, they came to us with a brief to design and develop a Europe-wide customer warranty portal for a major IT manufacturer that they work with.

Integrating systems and improving usability

SPC’s new web portal will integrate a number of disparate systems into one easy-to-use, end-to-end solution. The intention is to improve the customer journey for visitors to the website and improve the online service that SPC can offer. The portal will allow users to send their goods to SPC International for repair quickly and easily and to track progress throughout the entire repair process.

The portal will integrate SPC International's SAP systems with those of a global distribution company. The branded customer service solution will be built using a range of our technology platforms including our content management system (thinkCMS), eCommerce software (thinkShopper) and our online booking system (thinkBooker).

A traceable, user-friendly experience

David Clarke, the Sales and Marketing Director at SPC International, is looking forward to the new functionality that it will bring to their customers. “Using the new web portal, customers will be able to validate warranty claims and arrange collection of their defective part. They can then trace its progress into and through the repair centre, as well as its return journey back to their chosen delivery address. The portal is going to offer a fantastic user experience and we are looking forward to it going live.”

Mark Thomas, our Technical Director, had this to add; “The SPC International web portal is a perfect example of how we can help our clients improve their efficiency and customer service by using a combination of our technology and website development skills. We are able to provide fully bespoke online solutions, which not only meet our client’s individual requirements but also deliver a tangible result to their business.”

Work is currently in progress behind the scenes at upriseVSI, so watch this space for its launch in the coming months.
