Gimme Five (new starters)

The UpriseVSI team goes from strength to strength

After a busy and successful 2018, the highlights of which you can check out in our 2018 review, we’re starting 2019 with plenty of website development projects in the pipeline.

As a result, we’ve decided to strengthen our web development, project management and technical support teams even further with five new appointments.

Bringing even more technical expertise and commercial experience to the business, here’s an introduction to our five new starters.

Myfanwy Maguire

A highly experienced and skilled Project Manager, Myfanwy joins us from Target Group where she led multi-functional teams on the delivery of multi-million-pound software projects for the finance sector.

As Project Manager, Myfanwy will be responsible for the successful delivery of all design and development projects. An unapologetic whip-cracker, she’ll ensure that the UpriseVSI teams work in tandem with our clients to deliver great work every time.

Darius Garnham

A multiple-masters graduate in Computer Science and Software Technology from Swansea University, Darius has over a decade of commercial experience.

He’ll be joining the team as a Senior Developer, responsible for developing application and integration projects. Darius will also be working on our own software products, including thinkBooker, our online booking and scheduling system.

Tom Nichols

A skilled front-end developer and UX designer, Tom graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Multimedia Technology.

Having held a variety of web development roles, he joins us as a Front-End Developer.

In his own words, Tom will be “turning ugly code into beautiful responsive website designs”.

Using the latest web technologies, Tom will work in the development team to implement innovative front-end designs that result in pixel-perfect websites.

Nick Brayley

Nick is a highly-experienced enterprise software developer with over 2 decades of experience in the corporate and government sectors.

Having worked in a wide range of technical roles, Nick’s role as Senior Developer means that he’ll be working on a range of integration and web application projects as well as helping to develop our own software products.

Daniel Price

Recently graduated from the University of Wales with a first-class honours BSc in Information Communication Technology, Daniel joins us as a Technical Support Executive.

As part of the Technical Support team, he will respond to any client queries that we receive and resolve any technical issues that they might have.

Daniel will also test the functionality of the websites that we design and develop, ensuring that they look and work exactly how they should before being launched.

New faces for a New Year

Our MD, Gareth Rees Jones, had this to say; “It’s great to welcome so many new faces to the team.  Each of them brings with them a different range of skills and experience that will help us to further enhance our web solutions and software products and to further improve the service that we provide to our customers as we look to continue our growth.”

And so we welcome five new faces in 2019. If you’d like our newly-strengthened web development team to create a new website for your business, get in touch today.
