easter eggstravaganza

easter egg painting at uprise

Creativity’s at the heart of everything we do at Uprise. So, we thought we’d host an egg painting competition to celebrate Easter.

(We’d just like to take this opportunity to apologise for the disturbing amount of egg puns that now follow.)

In order to egg everyone on, there was even a prize for the most creative entry – the Tesco Rocky Road of Love easter egg! However, picking a winner proved difficult as we were shell-shocked by the level of effort that went into all of the eggs. Let’s get cracking and look at some of our entries:

Walking Dead

It was no surprise when Leigh, our head of creative, came in with this masterpiece. We can only hope that the office isn’t overrun with zombie eggs (zombeggs) after the long weekend.

Our digital marketing executive, Rhian, negglected her nails and instead used her nail polish to create this cute pegguin.

Humpty Dumpty (x2)

Humpty Dumpty proved to be an a-lister amongst all other eggs with two of our Uprisers, Laura and Claire, choosing to recreate him. We can’t help but wonder though – who poached who for this eggscellent idea?

Breaking Bad

Our web developer, Cheralyn, showed her creative side with this Breaking Bad entry. We love mini Eggsenberg and his blue crystal omelette.

Bob Marley

This Bob Marley egg just needs a couple of Buffalo Soldiers by his side and he’ll be good enough to eat. Kudos to Josh, our client relationship director for this tribute to the reggae legend!

Scooby Doo

Jinkies! It was good to be reunited with the Scooby Doo gang after all of these years. Hats off to Mark, our head of direct marketing for this one. We particularly love the effort that went into recreating the Mystery Machine, definitely deserving of a Scooby snack!

Cath Kidston

The level of detail that went into this Cath Kidston basket of eggs is admirable. It really showcases the eggstraordinary talents of our graphic designer, Netti.

The winner was, of course, Leigh and his Walking Dead egg. I suppose it all boils down to personal choice, but we’d love to hear your thoughts on our egg painting skills. Did the right egg win or was it fowl play? Tweet us your favourite eggs, or show us your own designs.

Happy Easter from all of us at Uprise!
