a new signing for uprise

At Uprise, we’ve experienced some strong growth over the past 12 months, which means we’ve continued to strengthen our team.

As it’s transfer deadline day, and in the spirit of the BBC Sport #RealLifeDeadlineDay over on Twitter, we thought we’d take this opportunity to introduce some of our newest Uprisers. We’re kicking things off with Ricky Davies, our Front End Web Developer.

Ricky joined the Uprise Web Development team at the end of last year and has already developed numerous responsive websites for us during this time, including Edwards Coaches, Oldwalls Gower and Vusta Flooring. He’s experienced in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and a number of other development languages.

Before being scouted by Uprise, Ricky worked as a freelance Front End Web Developer and, perhaps equally as impressive, held the unofficial title of “best popcorn scooper in South Wales.” Now, Ricky dons the Uprise jersey with pride and has scored more than his fair share of goals for us!

How does it feel to join Uprise Marketing?

It’s a dream come true, I’m at the biggest agency in Treforest, I’ve worked all my life for it and I’m very proud to be here. Uprise is a fast growing agency, with a lot of tradition and it was exactly what I was looking for. We have the same philosophy and goals.

Why did you decide to join Uprise?

It’s true, I had offers, but once my agent informed me of the offer from Uprise I instructed them to make the deal straight away. I couldn’t be happier to be here. I wear my Uprise Jersey with pride!

What are the benefits of working for Uprise?

I get to work with a good squad and everyone plays a part in our success, making sure we challenge on all fronts. Personal benefits include free Mario’s ice cream from the Gaffer (Gareth) and our Chairman (Geoff) for keeping a clean sheet (coming under budget).

We’ve had quite a few new faces in the Uprise team over the last year, and we’ll be introducing more of them soon.

If you’re considering a transfer of your own, check out our latest vacancies. We’d love to sign you up to Team Uprise!
