BACKGROUND

Paramount Interiors is an award-winning office design, fit-out and furniture specialist. Established in 1989, the company is headquartered in Cardiff with a second office in London. Paramount works with major clients both within Wales and across the UK.

The Brief

Paramount sought to modernise its brand, target a larger number of national clients and position the business alongside London-based office design and fit-out companies.

As well as redesigning the logo and producing a range of marketing materials, the company’s website also needed updating. In order to differentiate the business from its competitors, they wanted to develop a creative and content strategy.

THE STARTING POINT

In order to fully understand the business, its customers and the industry in which it operates, we held workshops with all of the departments within Paramount. This allowed us to help the management team define its vision, mission, values and key messages. We also carried out extensive research into Paramount’s key competitors, looking at how they positioned their brands. Using all of this information, we put together the brief in order to develop the creative.

THE INSIGHT

We identified that many office design and fit-out companies focused on the physical benefits of what they did. However, Paramount focused on understanding a business and the type of culture they wanted to create. Everything they did ensured that their clients made the best use of available space, even if it sometimes meant advising them to reduce the amount of office space.

We devised a tagline which summed up the key benefit clients experienced when working with Paramount

The Logo

Paramount needed something bold and vibrant enough to position them alongside their national and London-based competitors. The chosen logo and brand identity was as minimal, concise and effective as their approach to office design.

A clean and sleek colour palette of cool grey and vibrant blue on a minimalist white background was chosen for the brand. We also drew on elements from the design of the ShowOffice, including the pattern from the glass wall of the boardroom.

Creative Strategy

We devised an idea called ‘Welcome to the WorkPlayce’, which used children to communicate Paramount’s focus on designing future-proof workplaces. This creative strategy highlighted the fact that their office designs meet the needs of both current and future generations of workers. It also illustrated Paramount's use of the latest research and trends in office design, encouraging creativity, collaboration and concentration.

This concept formed the basis for a video featuring children in Paramount's ShowOffice.

Website

The website was designed using an elegant and minimal style with plenty of white space. Images of children from the video accompanied examples of Paramount’s best work.

The website content was written using a playful and informative style, reflecting Paramount’s creativity and expertise in the world of office design. A wide selection of their projects can also be viewed through an interactive lightbox.

This was backed up with a blog page full of informative articles and a case studies section overflowing with examples of Paramount’s work. This content, together with an effective SEO and social media strategy, has resulted in the brand achieving top Google rankings for a variety of competitive keywords and an increase in website traffic. Paramount has also seen a significant amount of inbound enquiries both online and offline.

"Our new brand and website have positioned us amongst the very best companies in our industry. We’ve received so much great feedback and the website has generated a significant amount of new leads. I would have no hesitation in recommending upriseVSI to any company that wants to elevate their marketing and especially their online presence."
